James Reid nag-back out sa “Pedro Penduko”

Dahil sa tinamong spinal injuries hindi na bibida si Idol Philippines judge James Reid sa Pedro Penduko.

Ayon sa ulat ng PEP, sa halip ang remake ng hit Korean movie na “Spellbound” ang pelikulang gagawin ng aktor kung saan makakatambal niya ang girlfriend na si Nadine Lustre.

Sa opisyal na pahayag ng ng Viva Films management tanggap nila ang desisyon ni James na talikuran ang pagganap bilang Pedro Penduko. Si Pedro Penduko ay folk hero na nilikha ni National Artist for Visual Arts Francisco Coching.

“Viva Films regretfully announces that it has accepted the withdrawal of James Reid from the movie Pedro Penduko for medical reasons.

“James has spinal injuries and the film Pedro Penduko involves intensive training and major stunts.

“His regular therapy and treatment prohibits him to train hard or perform for the rigid requirements.

“James has spent over a year training and getting ready for this film and Viva truly appreciates his dedication and commitment to this project.

“Viva respects James decision and wishes him a speedy recovery. “In the works is a reunion movie with Nadine Lustre.

“It will be a remake of the hit Korean movie, Spellbound.”

Ang “Spellbound” ay isang horror-romantic-comedy film na may English title na “My Girlfriend Can See Ghosts.”

Taong 2011 nang pagbidahan ng Korean actors na sina Son Ye-jin at Lee Min-Ki ang “Spellbound”.

Ang “Spellbound” ay tungkol  sa isang street magician na may girlfriend na nakakikita ng mga multo. Ito ay certified blockbuster nang ipalabas sa mga sinehan sa South Korea noong December 2011 at may box office gross na US$18.8 million.

Ang pelikula rin ang reunion movie nina James at Nadine pagkatapos ng “Never Not Love You” noong 2018.

Kung sakaling natuloy si James sa Pedro Penduko ay bahagi rin sana si Nadine sa naturang project bilang girlfriend nito na si Maria Makiling.
