After the hectic preparations and exciting week relating to the wedding of celebrity couple Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza, the first time ‘biyenan’ Sylvia Sanchez – Jossette Campo-Atayde in real life – posted her sentiments on Instagram.
The veteran actress shared some snippets taken from her son Arjo and daughter-in-law Maine’s wedding on July 28 and expressed her sentiments on the union of the two people who are so dear to her.
She shared, “Kailangan kong i let go ang anak kong si Arjo dahil bubuo na siya ng sariling pamilya. But im happy because i gained a daughter and that’s you, Maine.”
“Maine, officially i can now call u my daughter. Yeyyyy!!! You will surely enjoy the ride because now you’re one of us na,” she added. “Enjoy your life together @mainedcm @arjoatayde. Love you both mga anak. Finally and officially!! Welcome to the family Mrs. Nicomaine Dei Mendoza Atayde!!!”
Maine was quick to reply on her mother-in-law’s sweet IG post.
“So happy and grateful to have you as my mom!!! Alam kong come hell or high water, nandyan kayo for me and Arjo. i love you OG, Mrs. Atayde!” she wrote in the comments section.

A few days before the couple’s wedding Sylvia organized a bridal shower for Maine. She later posted on IG a video clip of the special event.
She shared, “Happy to welcome you to our big happy and crazy family. Soon!!! Mrs Maine Mendoza Atayde ka na. Can’t wait for the Big Day. Love you, my soon to be Daughter in law.”
Maine also expressed her gratitude over the warm welcome.
“Aahhhh thank you so much Roco, Campo, and Atayde family for last night. Had such a wonderful time with everyone. Thank you, tita… future mom!!! Love you!”
Such an endearing start to having a new extended family.
