TVJ and the Dabarkads celebrate 44th ‘birthday’, ‘National Dabarkads Day’

TV hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon blew the candles on a birthday cake which shows the number 44 as well as 14344.

Apparently, the original hosts of the longest running noontime show Eat Bulaga! chose to celebrate their 44th year on noontime television  despite being with another network now which is TV5 with E. A. T. as their new show’s name.

The TVJ trio celebrated July 29 with some of the ‘legit’ Dabarkads which they called as the “National Dabarkads Day”. Maine Mendoza was not with them as it coincided with her wedding day.

Tito remarked, “Happy National Dabarkads Day! Celebration of love and friendship through the years.”

Their respective sentiments on that special day revealed that age isn’t just a number. The numbers printed on their shirts, Vic said, symbolize a deeper meaning.

“Saan man kami dalhin ng tadhana, ipagdiriwang namin ang araw na naging Dabarkads tayo dahil higit sa programa, selebrasyon ito ng ating pagkakaibigan, pagkakaibigan na pinatibay ng mga pagsubok, pinasarap ng panahon at pinalalim ng pagmamahal,” Vic said.

During his turn, Joey heartfully thanked TV5, their advertisers, sponsors and more so, the televiewers.

“Dahil saan man kami dalhin, ano mang tawag sa amin, sa amin pa rin kayo umuuwi,” Joey added which brought cheers from the audience.

Tito then exclaims that come Monday, July 31, it will be their “Road to 45 years”.

Greetings poured on their video.

“Continue bringing joy and laughter to every home, continue touching lives. Happy 44th Anniversary ORIGINAL EAT BULAGA. 14344 DABARKADS. More power TVJ and TV5.”

“Congratulations legit dabarkad kami TVJ lang solid kami forever.143.44 . happy anniversary.”
